Music at GCCC
Some Things Are Better Sung.
There are moments when words simply aren't enough. When a melody says something a sermon cannot, when a familiar hymn takes on an entirely new meaning, or when a choir sings something so beautifully that, for a moment, everything else falls away.
Music has always been an essential part of the life of Garden City Community Church. It gives voice to our celebrations, accompanies us through life's more difficult passages, and brings an extraordinary richness to our worship.
And we happen to have a rather remarkable choir.
The Choir
Our choir is one of the great treasures of GCCC. With exceptional musical talent and a commitment to the beauty of choral music, its members bring depth, artistry, and a remarkable musical experience to Sunday worship.
Whether performing a beloved anthem or introducing the congregation to something less familiar, our choir reminds us that sacred music is not simply something to hear. It is something to experience.
The Bell Choir
There is something quite captivating about the sound of handbells. Each bell has its own voice, but the music only comes to life when everyone plays together.
Our bell choir brings its own distinctive sound and character to the musical life of GCCC, adding another dimension to our worship and celebrations.
The Instruments
The organ and piano are integral to our musical life, lending both grandeur and intimacy to our worship.
From the magnificent sound of the organ filling the sanctuary to the expressive beauty of the piano, these instruments help shape the atmosphere of our gatherings and accompany the congregation in song.
